Except for a little sand in the coat...a little salt water on the tongue...what fun the beach can be for a dog...and a child.

Tips For A Successful Day At The Beach With Your Dog:

  • Make sure that your dog is up to date on all vaccinations.

  • Bring plenty of fresh water.

  • Bring plenty of towels for clean up.

  • Bring plastic bags for the "other" kind of clean up.

  • Bring a leash or possibly a long line.

  • Don't forget the frisbee, ball or (?) for the retrieving dog.

  • Have identification tags on your dog and a license.

  • Your dog should have solid recall understanding.

  • Dogs with aggressive behavior may not be suitable for off leash beaches.

  • Be kind and courteous to others sharing the beach, and make sure your dog does, too!

  • Don't forget to rinse any salt water and sand out of your dog's coat after a day at the beach.
