For years, my husband and I have desired a long coated German Shepherd.  Though they are considered a fault by the German Shepherd Dog standard, we have not considered them to be a fault in our eyes.   Long haired German Shepherds actually possess such an incredible beauty that I just know that even the most staunch advocate of the GSD standard has to take a double look at a gorgeous "coated" German Shepherd.

On May 19th, we had the opportunity to look at two litters of pups with long hairs available.  That very same day, we brought home a zesty eight and a half week old bundle of fluff from Grunenfeld Shepherds.  Introducing Qai, a little fellow with the likes of Vice Sieger Cash v. Wildsteigerland, Sieger Eiko v. Kirschental, 2X Sieger Uran v. Wildsteigerland and 2X Sieger Quando v. Arminius trickling through his bloodlines.   We have big hopes for this little guy, and we are sure that he will not disappoint us.  But first and foremost, he will be our family companion along with our other Shepherds, protector and special friend.
